2005 International Children's Theatre and Dance Festival

Funding from Three Cities Create and Connect enabled international theatre for children and family audiences to be toured across the three cities for the first time. All performances by these international companies were in the English language.

The companies, from Italy, Canada and Germany brought superb shows to the region to coincide with the exciting festivals in each city:

• Children & Young People’s Dance and Theatre Festival in Derby
• The Spark Children’s Arts Festival in Leicester
• Lakeside International Children’s Theatre Festival in Nottingham

The International Children’s Theatre and Dance Festival, in Derby, Leicester and Nottingham comprised of the following world-class children’s shows:

• Romanzo D’Infanzia (A Childhood Tale) – by the Quintavalla-Stori-Compagnia Abbondanza/Bertoni theatre company from Italy
• If you go Down to the Woods Today - by Cas Public, from Quebec
• Queen of Colours – by Erfreuliches Theater Erfurt, from Germany
