Three Cities Create and Connect

Three Cities Create and Connect celebrates the exciting arts activities, festivals and cultural quarters of Derby, Leicester and Nottingham and aims to boost development with new activity and collaboration.

The initiative, which is led by Derby, Leicester and Nottingham City Councils, Arts Council England, East Midlands and the East Midlands Development Agency (emda), has received £800,000 funding from the Millennium Commission and Arts Council England through the Urban Cultural Programme.

It's an exciting, collaborative programme which includes performing and visual arts commissions designed to enhance existing cultural activities, including complementing and enhancing the festivals, new capital development and cultural quarters within the three locations.

The programme aims to encourage and develop new collaborations and opportunities across the cities. As well as the specific programme of events the Three Cities Proposal Fund enabled arts organisations to bid for funding for projects which involved collaboration between all cities.
