Reciprico-city
An exciting new project designed to bring disabled artists and arts workers and arts organisations closer together was funded by Three Cities Create and Connect.
February 2006 to March 2006
Reciprico-city brought professional association FASED in the Arts (Freelance and Self-Employed Disabled people in the Arts) together with partners in the visual arts, literature and performing arts through a series of reciprocal training days.
It aimed to help freelance disabled artists and arts workers to improve their knowledge, contacts and networks within the mainstream arts. At the same time, it helped arts organisations - who are constantly looking to reach new disabled audiences - to develop new opportunities and understanding in how to best work with disabled artists as workshop leaders and producers of arts activity.
FASED in the Arts is a network of 40 disabled artists and creative people in the East Midlands, providing training and information on commissions, jobs and residencies. It is a membership organisation offering support & development to Freelance And Self Employed Disabled people in the arts
